This is one of my food/floral still life series. The Australian acid free paper has great sanded “tooth” to allow for rich layering of pastel. The frame is State of Georgia Basswood I order by the linear foot and have custom mitered.

India has done much to upgrade and improve conditions for workers, but this image depicts miners in the 1930’s. Deplorable mining conditions do still exist in many countries.

China has had devastating floods for centuries, combating them by using their Army personnel and their multitudes of citizens. Currently, China has built an enormous system of dams, relocated ancient riverside and flood zone villages and created reservoirs in historically world famous landscaped valleys.
